Hello, I’m Kirsti Ikonen, owner of Ikon studio. I live and breathe the Arctic. After living in Spitsbergen I moved to the small village of Äkäslompolo, in Finnish Lapland. This was the furthest location south I could think of calling home. High above the arctic circle, Äkäslompolo is set amongst the fells and forests. Here nature is all around you. It is my inspiration, my escape and my motivator.

My first degree is from Helsinki University, where I studied tourism geography. After that I have worked around the world, e.g. Spitsbergen and Kenya. I have over 15 year experience in tourism, marketing and brand design. Later on I have studied marketing in Oulu University of Applied Science and as present I'm studying Service Design in Lapland University. Stay tune for more information about my masters theses.
